PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an information transmission method which allows information encoded by using irregular LDPC codes to be so transmitted that BER characteristics at the time of decoding are improved. SOLUTION: When encoded information obtained by encoding information on a transmission object by using a generator matrix generated from an irregular LDPC matrix is transmitted, the phase of a signal to be outputted (transmission signal) is switched (BPSK modulation) in accordance with the value of each bit of the encoded information, and the amplitude of a carrier (transmission signal) is changed in accordance with weights of corresponding columns of the irregular LDPC matrix (refer to (B)) so as to increase/reduce transmission powers assigned to bits corresponding to columns of light/heavy weights of the irregular LDPC matrix, out of individual bits of the encoded information when modulating the signal in accordance with values of individual bits.
