<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head in which a crown member made of a resin increases a carry of a golf ball by increasing the repulsive force of the face portion. <P>SOLUTION: The golf club head is a hollow one made by providing a face portion 20 made of a high repulsion light metal in a front portion, and forming a side peripheral wall 4 continuously contacting the face portion of the light metal. A concave notch portion 5, the lower portion of which is curved from the upper end, the width (d) of the upper end of the concave notch portion is 55% to 80% of the width (D) of the upper end in the center of the side peripheral wall, the top face of the side peripheral wall is covered with the crown portion 31 of the crown member 30 formed of a resin reinforced with a fiber such as a carbon fiber.
