PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus provided with a means for accumulating image signals and storing the result in a memory that prevents the accumulation of image signals the correction of a camera-shake of which is insufficient so as to enhance the image quality of the image signals stored in the memory. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus is provided with: a camera-shake detection means for detecting a vibration amount of an imaging section due to a camera-shake and providing an output of a camera-shake signal in response to the detected camera-shake vibration amount; a camera-shake correction means for correcting an image signal photographed by the imaging section on the basis of a camera-shake correction amount calculated in response to the camera-shake signal outputted from the camera-shake detection means; a recording image size setting means for setting a size of a recording image at which the image signal is recorded; a maximum correction amount calculation means for calculating a maximum value of the camera-shake correction amount to correct the camera-shake of the image signal; an image discrimination means for applying discrimination processing to the image signal accumulated in the memory; and an accumulation control means for controlling the accumulation processing of the corrected image signal.
