In a papermaking assembly, a web of paper (4) passes over the perforated surface of a drying drum with a blow or suction assembly (5) operating in conjunction with a sealing strip (6). The sealing strip is presented to the drum inner face (3). The drum inner face has a low-friction coating. The low-friction coating (16) is a fluid or non-fluid coating that demonstrates the lotus effect. The seal is air-cooled.
