PURPOSE: An antenna matching conversion device is provided to automatically convert a variable matching circuit during a handoff in accordance with each frequency band, thereby obtaining optimum receive sensitivity for each frequency change while reducing a mounting size. CONSTITUTION: A controller(310) senses a currently communicated frequency when communication is performed between a base station and a terminal, and outputs a band select signal in accordance with the sensed frequency to a PAM(Power Amplifier Module)(320) and a variable matching circuit(340). The PAM(320) amplifies a transmission signal selected according to the band select signal. The variable matching circuit(340) receives the transmission signal, and matches voltage standing wave ratios to be optimal for a predetermined frequency. An antenna(350) is connected to the variable matching circuit(340), and performs wireless communication between the base station and the terminal.
