In order to establish a high-speed data transmission link with a predetermined service quality (QoS) in a telecommunication network (22) between a remote terminal (14) and a content server access platform (16), a first link is set up between the terminal and the platform for transmission of a request relating to transmission of content extracted from at least one of the content servers; a second high speed link is created on the basis of said request and according to the predetermined service quality between the content server and the terminal by reserving the network resources (22) and the content is transmitted via the second link. The second link is set up using PNNI or MPLS signaling protocol in order to set up a virtual circuit between the server and the terminal.
