OPEN SHIELD CONSTRUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an open shield construction method for lowering and installing a concrete case body in a tail part even when an obstacle such as a bridge girder exists in an upper part above a construction place and there is a limit in the upper part when performing construction by the open shield construction method. SOLUTION: In this open shield construction method, a self-propelling conveyance device 13 for conveying the concrete case body 4 is provided between an advance pit 12 and the tail part 1c of an open shield machine 1. A suspension device 14 of the concrete case body 4 is provided above the tail part 1c. The concrete case body 4 lowered into the advance pit 12 is transferred into the tail part 1c by the conveyance device 13 and is installed at a predetermined position by the suspension device 14.
