<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting module having a structure wherein an electronic component and a semiconductor light emitting module are easily assembled on the stem. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic component 3 includes a transistor 9. In the semiconductor light emitting element 5, an electrode 5b is electrically connected to the first current terminal 9b of the transistor 9, and the other electrode 5a is electrically connected to the second current terminal 9a of the transistor 9. The stem 7 has a lead terminal 11, a lead terminal 13, a base 15, and a pedestal section 17. The base 15 supports the lead terminals 11 and 13. The pedestal section 17 is provided on the base 15. The semiconductor light emitting terminal 5 and the electronic component 3 are mounted on the side walls 17a of the pedestal section 17. The second current terminal 9a of the transistor 9 and the other electrode 5a of the semiconductor light emitting element 5 are electrically connected to the lead terminal 11.
