<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrite material having a high saturation magnetic flux density and low loss in a high temperature range near 100°C. <P>SOLUTION: The ferrite material consists of a sintered compact containing, by mol, 62-68% Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 12-20% ZnO, >0 and <4% LiO<SB>0.5</SB>, and the balance substantially MnO as main components. This sintered compact exhibits such characteristics that the saturation magnetic flux density at 100°C is ≥490 mT (measuring magnetic field: 1194 A/m), the minimum value of the core loss is ≤1,200 kW/m<SP>3</SP>(measuring conditions: 100 kHz, 200mT), and the bottom temperature at which the core loss shows the minimum value is in a range of 60-130°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
