<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve supply of electronic circuit components by a component feeder tape. <P>SOLUTION: If the remaining number of components is a set number or less in a feeder, it informs a worker that a another component feeder tape can be connected to the preceding component feed tape. On the basis of the information, the worker connects the terminal of the preceding component feeder tape and the edge of the next component feeder tape by using a connection piece and a connection tape. The connection tape is fixedly provided with a tag chip capable of writing and reading the information in non-contact concerning the components held on the next component feeder tape. If the connection tape is detected with a tag chip reader in S11, the tag chip reader reads the component discrimination information written in the tag chip in S12. It is determined whether the component discrimination information is the scheduled information or not in S13. If the determination of S13 is YES, supply is continued as is.
