The bicycle lock incorporates a pin sliding between a free position and a position locking the pedal shaft. A lock mechanism regulates the pin position. The pin (4) is accommodated in the bottom frame tube (6), and is thrust by a spring (24) and released by a catch (19) into the locking position. The lock mechanism moves the pin into the free position in opposition to the spring. The lock mechanism can also be arranged to prevent release of the catch in the free position.
