<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor thin film electrode photosensitized with a dye excellent in photoelectric conversion efficiency, and an photoelectric conversion element with high photoelectric conversion efficiency using the same, and a photo-electrochemical solar cell. <P>SOLUTION: A semiconductor electrode including an organic dye expressed by a general formula (1) as a photosensitizer and the photoelectric conversion element using the electrode are provided. In the formula (1), R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>2</SB>denote a phenyl group, naphthyl group, or lower alkyl group, respectively, R<SB>3</SB>, R<SB>4</SB>and R<SB>5</SB>denote a hydrogen atom, lower alkyl group, or lower alkoxyl group, respectively, R<SB>6</SB>denotes hydrogen atom, hydroxyl group, lower alkyl group, lower alkyl group, or a styryl group, L denotes hydrogen atom, or electron absorptive group, and M denotes hydrogen atom, or salt forming cation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
