PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor device and its control method for changing a performance level in order to satisfy the required items of a specific external application, and for executing the highly efficient operation of a sensor device and the economical operation of a sensor network system. SOLUTION: A sensor device is provided with a memory, a radio communicator for transmitting/receiving a signal with an external device having an external application, a radio controller for controlling it, a microprocessor, a process controller for instructing the processor to load scripts in the memory and a sensor driver controller for activating a proper sensor based on a request received from the sensor and the external application.
