PURPOSE: A slide-type portable terminal is provided to enable a slide unit to slide down a body unit, so that coil springs can be elastically transformed by being guided according to guide bars, thereby exactly performing the elastic transformation of the coil springs by the guide bars. CONSTITUTION: A body unit(30) comprises key portions(31,33) on one side. A slide unit(40) slides down a front side of the body unit(30), and shields/exposes the key portions(31,33). When the slide unit(40) moves to a certain position for the body unit(30), a slide driving apparatus slides the slide unit(40) by an elastic force of coil springs which are guided by guide bars. The slide unit(40) further comprises a main plate fixed to the body unit(30), while a slide plate is fixed to the slide unit(40). Both sections of the guide bars are connected to the main plate and the slide plate.
