The invention relates to electrically adjusted protecting spectacles which may be used in metallurgy, ferrous metallurgy, medicine and for recreation. According to the invention, the spectacles comprise some translucent glass supports (11 and 12). Each of the supports are coated with layers of SnO (13 and 14) with a thickness of 0.1 mium and two aluminum electrodes (17). Between the two layers there is introduced a liquid crystal layer (15) having the thickness of 5 ... 50 mium, established through a spacer (16). On the surface of the lens thus obtained there are applied an analyser (10) and polarizer (9) by means of an epoxy-type solution. The lenses thus obtained are mounted into the spectacles frame. The optical translucence is controlled from outside the lens by introducing a variable voltage in the electrodes (17).
