PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chiral sparrow-tailed type liquid crystal material and a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: The chiral sparrow-tailed type liquid crystal material is synthesized with a chiral material, and the molecule of the chiral sparrow-tailed type liquid crystal material is an N,N'-diethyl(s)-2-ä6-[4-(4'-alkyoxyphenyl)benzoyloxy]-2-naphthyl}propionamide or an N,N'-dipropyl(s)-2-ä6-[4-(4'-alkyoxyphenyl)benzoyloxy]-2-naphthyl}propionamide. The chiral center of this liquid crystal material is directly connected to a hard nucleus and a sparrow-tailed type group is connected to the chiral rear end, and the chiral center and the sparrow-tailed type group are on the same side. By this structure, this liquid crystal material has non-threshold antiferroelectricity, and its manufacturing process is simple, and has high productivity and a best application effect in a liquid crystal display.
