PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage-controlled oscillator capable of interrupting a DC current flowing through components in a steady-state, the DC current flowing causing deterioration in the phase noise characteristic. SOLUTION: The voltage-controlled oscillator of one embodiment disclosed herein is provided with an active element that is inserted and connected to interrupt the DC current expected to flow through an inductor L and a variable capacitance capacitor C in the steady-state.
