PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing an iron-base sludge of a soluble electrode for electroplating, which discharges the iron-base sludge deposited inside the soluble electrode, to improve plating productivity and extending the life of the electrode, and to provide a removal apparatus therefor. SOLUTION: The method for removing the iron-base sludge deposited inside the soluble electrode for electroplating comprises temporarily discharging a plating liquid in a line tank having the soluble electrode installed therein to the outside of the line, supplying an acid capable of dissolving the sludge into the line tank, dissolving the sludge to ionize it, and discharging the resultant liquid to the outside of the line.
