PREFORM FOR FIBER-REINFORCED COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND ITS PRODUCTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a preform for a fiber-reinforced composite material in a complex three-dimensional shape to include a T-shaped structure which can easily revise the preform by peeling it when it can not be joined to a proper position in a production process without affecting the strength and durability of a finally obtained product. SOLUTION: The joined part of the T-shaped structure is formed by sewing the overlapped parts of two reinforcing fiber sheets by a needle having a hook without using a thread. In the sewing, the constituent fibers of one reinforcing fiber sheet are driven into the other reinforcing fiber sheet without being displaced by a shearing load acting between the two sheets in the joined part and in a peelable degree.
