The invention relates to an active substance-releasing system. The aim of the invention is to create a topically effective active substance-releasing system which allows for a patient-specific combination of active substances while also being able to perform mechanical functions. Said aim is achieved by an individually adjustable system comprising a dimensionally stable, load-bearing basic member made of a non-resorbable and/or resorbable material, at least two visually distinguishable active substance carriers which are made of resorbable and/or non-resorbable material, are mounted in a spatially separated manner in cavities that are externally accessible and/or on the surface of the basic member, and can be reversibly and/or irreversibly inserted into and/or applied onto the basic member, each of the active substance carriers containing a different pharmaceutical agent, application aids for inserting and/or applying the active substance carriers into and/or onto the basic member, and application aids for implanting and explanting the basic members loaded with the active substance carriers.
