<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for regenerating a target material by which used target material scrap consisting of an alloy can be reutilized without being re-refined to each constituting component metal being the raw materials of the alloy, and an alloy based target material can be more efficiently regenerated and at a lower cost compared with the conventional regeneration method. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for regenerating the target material, (i) the surface of used alloy target material scrap is cleaned; (ii) the alloy target material scrap is heated and melted in an inert atmosphere, and is thereafter cooled and solidified to produce an alloy ingot; (iii) the surface layer part turned into the upper part on the production of the alloy ingot is removed; (iv) the alloy ingot is thereafter pulverized, and the obtained alloy powder is sintered in an inert atmosphere. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
