PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner having small unevenness in shape between toner particles and a small width of particle size distribution, and to provide a manufacturing method by which such a toner can be manufactured. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a toner includes a step of preparing an emulsion using a kneaded material obtained by kneading materials including a resin; and a step of obtaining aggregates of dispersoid as a granule substance by atomizing the emulsion and removing a dispersion medium constituting the emulsion under conveyance in a solidification section. When the average particle diameter of the dispersoid in the emulsion is represented by d [μm] and that of the granule substance by D [μm], the relation of 2≤D/d≤200 is preferably satisfied.
