ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENT DISPLAY DEVICE AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of a characteristic of an EL layer caused by intrusion of moisture discharged from a pixel separation film or the like, in an organic electroluminescent (organic EL) display device. SOLUTION: This organic electroluminescent display device is provided with: a substrate 1; the pixel separation film 8 formed of a resin so as to separate and partition the respective pixel regions on the upper side of the substrate 1; and an EL layer 10 arranged so as to cover the pixel regions and to cover a part of the separation film 8. In a part where the EL layer 10 covers the separation film 8, an inorganic insulation film 9 for blocking the moisture is interlaid between the EL layer 10 and the separation film 8 so as to prevent them from directly coming into contact with each other.
