PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contrive sufficient compactness, by lessening performance deterioration for production errors in an image forming optical system as an off-axial optical system constituted, using a reflecting face. SOLUTION: The image forming optical system has respective radiuses of curvature and includes a reflecting optical unit, constituted of a plurality of the rotation asymmetrical reflecting faces.
