<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for providing a server operation in a work machine. <P>SOLUTION: A system for executing a process for managing communication in an environment including a self-propelled work machine is provided. This process is executed by a gateway, and formed by a source device, and includes the reception of a request transmitted via a first data link. The gateway selectively executes a server application for executing server processing. Further, the gateway identifies the destination device related to the request, and constitutes the request in a format compatible with the destination device, and gives the formatted request to the destination device.
