METHOD FOR CLEANING UP POLYCHLORINATED BIPHENYL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cleaning up polychlorinated biphenyl, in which polychlorinated biphenyl in a low concentration is surely cleaned up and polychlorinated biphenyl can be removed without affecting the service condition of equipment. SOLUTION: The method for cleaning up the polychlorinated biphenyl comprises a step for immersing an absorbent into a medium containing polychlorinated biphenyl and making the polychlorinated biphenyl absorbed, a step for recovering the absorbent from the medium, a step for separating the polychlorinated biphenyl from the recovered absorbent and a step for carrying out decomposing treatment of the separated polychlorinated biphenyl and making the insulating oil harmless.
