PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capsule type endoscope system by which a visualized image becomes most excellent in color reproducibility and resolution by "easily" obtaining the "most excellent" image data correction value at each product (a capsule type endoscope), and it is confirmed that the image data correction value is the most excellent one. SOLUTION: The capsule type endoscope system includes the capsule type endoscope 10 having a transmitting means for transmitting picked up image data; and an external device having a display means for visualizing the image and displaying it. The system comprises means (131-133) for starting power source supply to a capsule main body, in a state where the imaging window 120b and illumination window 120a of the capsule main body are covered with a package 70. The image data correction value is obtained from image data acquired by the first imaging of an image data correction value acquirement chart part 71 which is oppositely arranged to the imaging window inside the package in a state where covering is performed with the package 70.
