PURPOSE: A method for designing a condensate pump applied to a condensate/feed-water system of a thermal power plant is provided to minimize a calculation error and facilitate calculation when a design value of the condensate pump is calculated. CONSTITUTION: A flow rate of each pump is calculated based on an orifice/nozzle flow rate needed for fitting to a suction condition of a condenser when steam flown in a steam turbine is bypassed by sudden stop of the steam turbine. A discharge head offsetting a loss of each area in the plant from an original discharge head is calculated. A suction head is calculated based on a height head, a pressure of the condenser in equilibrium, a strainer loss, and a piping friction loss. The flow rate, the head, and an effective suction head are calculated/displayed based on the calculated flow rate/discharge head/suction head. |
