The sheet ejector has a guide element (6) movable in a straight guide on the machine frame and supporting an ejector plate (4) which is swivel mounted on the guide element through a first rotary bearing. A drive mechanism transfers to and fro motion to the ejector plate. The ejector plate can be fixed on the guide element and the guide element can be fixed on the machine frame (2) by positive or force-locking locking devices. The drive mechanism (9) can have a pneumatically, hydraulically or electromagnetically driven translation-type actuator.
