PLANAR SLOT ANTENNA AND METAL MOLD FOR CASTING ITS ANTENNA BASE PART

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure plane roughness and electric characteristics by enabling a casting to be easily extracted from a metal mold. SOLUTION: A planar slot antenna has an antenna base part 100 and a slit board 200a. The antenna base part 100 is formed by mold and provided with a waveguide 110 including a bottom surface 111 which extends in parallel with a radio wave transmitting/receiving surface, both side wall surfaces 112 which rise while being connected with both sides of the bottom surface and extend facing each other so as to sandwich the bottom surface and a termination wall surface 113 which rises while being connected with a termination part of the bottom surface 111 and is also connected with both side wall surfaces 112. In the slit board 200, a plurality of slits 210 are arranged and formed at a part corresponding to the waveguide of the antenna base part, and the slit board 200 is fixed to the antenna base part 100. An angle formed between the bottom surface 111 and the termination wall surface 113 of the waveguide 110 of the antenna base part is set to be 90 degrees plus 3 to 5 degrees and the radius of curvature of a boundary part between the bottom surface 111 and both side wall surfaces 112 and the termination wall surface 113 is set to be 0.5 to 2 mm.
