PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contents recording system capable of more surely recording the whole contents. SOLUTION: When a first recording means runs short of a recording area for recording first contents, a first server requests a second server to reserve an area for recording the first contents that have not been recorded because of recording area shortage. The second server reserves an area for recording the first contents unrecorded because of recording area shortage in a second recording means. If the second recording means runs short of an area for recording the first contents unrecorded because of recording area shortage, the first server rerequests another second server to reserve the area for recording the first contents unrecorded because of recording area shortage.
