PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric motor in which the detachment of a magnet from a housing can be prevented with a simple structure. SOLUTION: Magnet pieces 41 are circumferentially mounted at prescribed intervals to the inner peripheral wall of the housing 11. A resin 51 is formed between the respective adjacent magnet pieces 41. The peripheral end, in which the distance to the other adjacent magnet piece 41 is increased as going to the inside in the radial direction, is formed to both ends in the circumferential direction of the magnet piece 41. The resin 51 covers the inside in the radial direction at both ends in the circumferential direction of the magnet piece 41. The resin 51 is adhered to the housing 11. Therefore, both ends of the magnet piece 41 are held between the resin 51 and the housing 11. By this, it is possible to prevent the detachment of the magnet piece 41 from the housing 11.
