<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a display device which employs an analog type driving method from decreasing in uniformity of luminance due to variations in threshold of a driving transistor. <P>SOLUTION: In the driving method of the display device, there are provided a display part having pixels in M column by N rows and a memory while each pixel has a light emitting element and a driving transistor driving the light emitting element. When each pixel does not normally emit light, a driving voltage is applied to the driving transistor of the pixel to turn on the light emitting element of the pixel, the value of a current flowing to the light emitting element of the pixel is detected, and correction data by pixels are calculated based upon detected current values and stored in the memory; when the pixel normally emits light, a driving voltage based upon data obtained by adding the correction data stored in the memory to video signal data is applied to the driving transistor of each pixel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
