PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for efficiently inhibiting decomposition of insulin by an insulin decomposing enzyme, eliminating use of a liquid composition and measuring the insulin in blood without using a mercury containing compound. SOLUTION: An addition agent composition for measuring an insulin concentration in blood comprises a solid composition containing an EDTA or its salt, o-phenanthroline, a monoiodoacetic acid and polysaccharides. A blood collecting tube for measuring the insulin concentration in blood includes the solid composition containing the EDTA or its salt, the o-phenanthroline, the monoiodoacetic acid and the polysaccharides in the blood collecting tube.
