PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pointer type instrument capable of achieving the reduction of a conducting space. SOLUTION: The pointer type instrument includes an index plate 1 having a first fluoroscopy part 11 and an index part 12 surrounding this fluoroscopy part 11, a rotor 3 arranged on the back of this index plate 1, having a second fluoroscopy part 31 formed facing the first fluoroscopy part 11, a pointer 4 fixed to the rotor 3 through the first fluoroscopy part 11 or the outside of the index part 12, consisting of a translucent material, a light source 5 fixed against the rotor 3, light-emitting the pointer, a driving unit 6, and a display unit 8. The driving unit 6 at least arranged on the outsides of the first and second fluoroscopy parts 11, 31 enables the indication of the index part 12 by the pointer 4, by rotating the rotor 3. The display unit 8 arranged on the back of the rotor 3 is designed to display an observer prescribed information through the first and second fluoroscopy parts 11, 31. The pointer type instrument is constructed so that the part of the rotor 3 is connected to the connection member 51 of the light source 5 and the other part thereof is fixed to a conductive member 35 conducted to be connected to a terminal (other electric member) T.
