PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply many types of sheets without manual feeding by an operator in each case. SOLUTION: The paper feeder comprises a driving mechanism 36 for selectively moving a plurality of trays 32-35 to a paper feeding position 41, and a paper feeding mechanism 42 which picks up paper sheets P1-P3 from the trays 32-35 moved to a set position 41 by the driving mechanism 36 and feeds paper to a transfer section 2a.
