PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope capable of facilitating the bending motion. SOLUTION: The endoscope has a bendable bending part in an insertion part to be inserted into a body cavity. An operation part is connected to the base end of the insertion part, and a bending operation lever 40 for driving the bending part is mounted on the operation part. The bending part is remotely bent/operated by drawing a wire for bending/operating the bending part with the rotating operation of the operation lever 40. The endoscope also has a stopper 44 for limiting the rotation stroke motion of the operation lever 40 in a prescribed range and a rotation stroke quantity adjusting mechanism for releasing the limitation of the stopper 44 and switching the position of the stopper to a stroke increasing position to increase the rotation stroke of the operation lever 40.
