PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting structure and a detecting method of the poor adjustment of the shape of an electrode tip for detecting the poor adjustment of the shape of the electrode tip with high accuracy. SOLUTION: Vibration generated with a device for adjusting the shape of an electrode tip when adjusting the shape of the electrode tip is detected with a vibration sensor 5 ( vibration detecting means ) which is mounted on the shape adjusting device of the electrode tip, the quality of the shape adjustment of the electrode tip is decided with a deciding device 6 ( the deciding means of the quality of the shape adjustment ) of the quality of the shape adjustment on the basis of the detected signal of the vibration sensor 5. In the case the shape adjusting state of the electrode tip is decided as No Good, the poor shape adjustment of the electrode tip is detected.
