X<SP>1</SP> is H, Cl or Br a nitrile, acetyl, carboxy or nitro group and X<SP>111</SP> is H, Cl, Br or a nitro group. The material is coated on metal and glass plates, cellulose ester, polystyrene and polyester films and paper. The photo-hardenable polymers are polyvinyl innamate and polymers containing arylazido, azidocarbonyl, azidosulphonyl, coumarin, quinone diazide and 1, 2, 3 - thiadiazole groups disclosed in Specifications 1115427, 1089095, 1087416, 1082195, 1074234, 1062884, 1118215, 1129907 and 1136544.
