CD-R MEDIA FOR INK JET PRINTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ink jet printable CD-R media which provide clean frameless prints that can be conducted even by a CD-R media position detecting means and an inexpensive ink jet printer having a poor precision positioning means.

SOLUTION: The ink jet printable CD-R medium is provided with a recording member which has a recording surface to record digital data and an image printing surface to print and display an image corresponding to the digital data, a seal member which is adhered and joined to the image printing surface and covers a portion of the image printing surface and an ink reception layer which has an area that is larger than the area of the image printing surface excluding the image printing surface being covered by the seal member and is used to conduct printing by the ink jet printer. Note that the ink reception layer is formed on the image printing surface and the seal member after the seal member is adhered and joined to the recording member.
