PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mandrel for bending with a simple structure and sufficient rigidity. SOLUTION: The mandrel for the bending is provided with a plurality of plugs 12 having the spherical outer periphery. A fulcrum pin 16 is mounted to each of the plugs 12. First and second link members 18, 20, and 22 are swingably mounted to the fulcrum pin 16 of the adjacent plugs 12. The adjacent plugs 12 are connected by the first and second link members 18, 20, and 22. A spherical groove 26, to which the adjacent plug 12 can be inserted during bending, is formed to each plug 12. The plug is connected to a shank 14 via the second link members 20, 22. The deformation of a pipe 1 can be prevented by inserting the plug 12 in a bending place of the pipe 1 to be bent. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
