PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve control over the stopping position of a pusher of an article discharge unit and to maintain and increase the accuracy for detecting driving anomaly of the pusher. SOLUTION: This vending machine, in which articles stacked inside an article storage rack to make a line of articles are discharged sequentially from inside the article storage rack, starting with the article at the bottom of the line, includes the article discharge unit having the pusher driven by a motor to move forward through the lower part of an article frame from its rear to push the articles sequentially out of the article storage frame from the rear, starting with the article at the bottom of the line of articles stored; a drive control part which drives the motor only for a predetermined period of time to place the pusher in a predetermined position; and a correction means for correcting the motor drive time of the drive control part based on temperature data sensed by a temperature sensor that senses temperature in the vicinity of the article discharge unit.
