PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the washing performance of an inclined drum type washing machine by solving a problem that the laundry cannot be raised by a lifter inside a drum when the drum is operated for washing by the low-speed rotation so that the washing efficiency is deteriorated when the washing machine has an angle of inclination for facilitating insertion/taking out of the laundry. SOLUTION: The drum type washing machine has the inclined drum with an open/close cover on a whole side surface to easily take out the laundry. The angle of inclination of the lifter mounted on the inner wall of the drum is larger than that of the drum.
