PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic binoculars which include eyepiece display elements of a rectangular shape, such as LCDs, in eyepiece sections and which level optical images without complication of mechanisms in carrying out the adjustment of the width between the eyes by rotationally moving the eyepiece sections around the axes parallel to their optical axes. SOLUTION: Display areas 34R and 34L where the optical images of an object to be observed are displayed are made smaller than the effective display areas of the display elements 33R and 33L. The display areas 34R and 34L are made movable within the range of the effective display areas of the display elements 33R and 33L.
