<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet handling device capable of preventing occurrence of an operational error of a user, and an image forming device having it. <P>SOLUTION: A stapler unit 15 provided manually operably in a device body is provided with a propriety indicating unit 23 for indicating propriety of a manual operation of the stapler unit 15. When a conveyance operation detecting means detects that the device body is conveying the sheet, the propriety indicating unit 23 indicates that the manual operation of the stapler unit 15 is inhibited.
