<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accelerate image distribution to each terminal, in an image distribution system which is provided with a server and a plurality of the terminals which receive at least pictures from the server through a network and display them. <P>SOLUTION: Multimedia client parts 112a-112n of respective clients 103a-103n transmit pictures photographed by television cameras 107a-107n connected to the respective clients 103a-103n which participate in video conferences to the server 101 through the network 102. The server 101 synthesizes pictures received from the respective clients 103a-103n and distributes them to the respective clients 103a-103n which participate in the video conferences through the network 102 as video conferencing pictures.
