PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mulching sheet made of paper with large area per unit mass, capable of laying in a large area of paddy field in installing as a mulching roll conforming to a rated dimension of a device especially installed on a paddy field transplanter, free from breaking in transplanting, excellent in visible light shielding property, workability and weeding property, and not requires recovering from paddy field. SOLUTION: The mulching sheet is obtained by forming a black layer comprising active carbon and a biodegradable resin, on one side of a paper base made of cellulose fibers.
