PURPOSE: To provide a compressed air dryer for increasing energy utility efficiency of the compressed air dryer and overcoming deterioration of adsorbent regeneration efficiency by heating an adsorbent to a target temperature using steam and superheated vapor having high energy density and high heat transfer ratio, thereby drying the adsorbent within a short time. CONSTITUTION: In a compressed air dryer comprising a first drying chamber(10) and a second drying chamber(20) in which adsorbents(100) for adsorbing moisture of compressed air are respectively contained, in one drying chamber of which a drying process of drying compressed air by adsorbing moisture contained in compressed air is performed, and in the other drying chamber of which a regeneration process of regenerating adsorbent by adsorbing moisture from the moisture adsorbed adsorbent is performed, the compressed air dryer comprises a steam inflow means for flowing steam in the first drying chamber or the second drying chamber; a non-condensing gas exhaust means for exhausting non-condensing gas generated when the adsorbent is heated to a saturation temperature of steam and non-condensing gas existing in the existing drying chambers to the outside of the first drying chamber or the second drying chamber; a condensate water discharge means for discharging condensate water condensed when steam flown in transfers heat to the adsorbent and condensate water condensed by moisture separated from the adsorbent by heating of steam to the outside of the first drying chamber or the second drying chamber; and a vacuum stage forming means for forming the vacuum state in the first drying chamber or the second drying chamber to discharge moisture transferred to the adsorbent by steam contact to the first drying chamber or the second drying chamber.
