PURPOSE: An automatic hydro-air type pump strut unit with an inner level regulation device is provided to restrict pressure gas contained in a low-pressure chamber from reaching a pump chamber by arranging continuously a pipe part induced into an intermediate bottom area in a locking element disposed at the end of a pump rod in a damping medium of the low-pressure chamber at a fitting position. CONSTITUTION: An automatic hydro-air type pump strut unit(1) with an inner level regulation device comprises an outer pipe and a piston rod(3). The outer pipe is composed of a high-pressure driving chamber filled with oil, disposed in at least one high-pressure chamber(9) by receiving pressure, and positioned at a gas padding acting as a spring in a driving cylinder(25); a second driving chamber positioned at the piston rod; and a piston(2) supported by the hollow piston rod and closed in the driving cylinder to move axially. The piston rod is driven by a spring motion of a vehicle to transfer oil from the low-pressure chamber into the driving chamber connected with the high-pressure chamber. The piston rod comprises a pump rod(7) and a pump cylinder formed by the hollow piston rod. The high-pressure chamber is combined with flow connection arranged at a piston rod guide(13). A filling bore formed at the outer pipe is linked to the flow connection while the piston rod guide is not perfectly installed. The low-pressure chamber acts together with the filling bore formed at the outer pipe. Two filling bores are closed after the piston rod guide is pushed axially and inserted into the outer pipe. The pump rod projected inward the low-pressure chamber has a gas-locking device(5).
