An appts. for welding on flat attachments onto articles made from sheets of plastics, esp. PVC, sheet comprises a conveyor, along which the plastics sheet or sheets are conveyed and a high-frequency welding unit for welding the attachments to the sheets; the flat attachments are held in readiness as a stack in a vessel, and are picked up from it by a suction device and placed upon the moving sheets; this suction device and the stacking vessel are movable relative to one another in the direction of travel of the conveyor, pref. with the sunction head being movable and the stacking vessel being stationary; the suction pick-up head can also be moved up and down so as to place the flat attachment elements onto the conveyor belt. The appts. is used esp. where the flat attachments are relatively stiff and cannot readily be drawn out from the base of the stack through a lateral slot. The present arrangement enables such stiff attachments to be handled without jamming. |
